Fully welded ball valves are affected by various factors in practical applications, which directly affect the performance, service life, and safety of the ball valve. Here are some of the main influencing factors:

1. Medium conditions

• Medium temperature: The medium temperature for fully welded ball valves is generally between -20 ℃ and 150 ℃. Exceeding this range may affect the sealing performance and material stability of the ball valve.

• Medium composition: If the medium contains hard particles, crystals, impurities, etc., it is easy to wear out the fluorine lining or PTFE bellows of the valve core and seat during the opening and closing process, resulting in leakage.

• Medium pressure: Fully welded ball valves need to withstand a certain amount of medium pressure. If the pressure is too high or fluctuates too much, it may cause damage to the structure of the ball valve or affect the sealing effect.

2. Materials and Sealing

Sealing material: The quality of the sealing material directly affects the sealing performance of the ball valve. If the quality of the sealing material is not too hard, it is easy to cause medium leakage.

Valve body material: The corrosion resistance and strength of the valve body material are also key factors. Rusting or corrosion of materials can reduce the service life and safety of ball valves.

• Valve core quality: The overall quality of the valve core is determined by the processing technology, and the wear-resistant layer and uniform layer thickness are crucial for the wear resistance and acid and alkali resistance of the valve core.

3. Welding and processing

• Weld seam shape and gap: The shape and gap of the weld seam have a direct impact on the structural strength and sealing performance of the ball valve. During the welding process, it is necessary to control the depth and width of the weld seam, as well as the residual height, to ensure the quality of the weld seam.

• Welding conditions: Welding current, arc voltage, and welding speed have a significant impact on the shape and performance of the weld seam. Inappropriate welding conditions may lead to weld defects such as cracks, undercutting, etc.

• Processing technology: The processing technology of ball valves determines their overall quality and performance. High quality processing technology can ensure uniform thickness of the wear-resistant layer of the valve core, improve the wear resistance and acid and alkali resistance of the ball valve.

4. Use and maintenance

• Operation mode: The operation mode of the ball valve (manual, pneumatic, electric, etc.) needs to be selected and used correctly to avoid damage or leakage caused by improper operation.

• Maintenance: Regularly check the working condition of the ball valve, clean the dirt inside and outside the valve body, check the sealing performance of the valve seat and ball, and replace the seals if necessary to extend the service life of the ball valve.

• Installation location: The ball valve should be installed in a location that is easy to operate and maintain, avoiding the influence of external forces. At the same time, the operating device of the ball valve should be easy to operate, and the rotation of the valve stem should not be restricted.

5. Other factors

• Power supply pressure: For electric fully welded ball valves, low power supply pressure may cause overload operation, affecting the normal operation of the ball valve.

• Negative pressure problem: Ball valves should avoid using pipelines with negative pressure. If there is negative pressure, it can easily cause the fluorine plastic lining layer inside the valve cavity to be sucked out (bulging out) and peel off, resulting in valve opening and closing failures.

In summary, fully welded ball valves are affected by various factors such as medium conditions, materials and seals, welding and processing, use and maintenance, as well as power pressure and negative pressure issues in practical applications. In order to ensure the normal operation and prolong the service life of ball valves, it is necessary to comprehensively consider these factors and take corresponding measures.
